Oriental Short-Clawed Otters live in marshes, rivers, estuaries and are often found in mangrove swamps in many areas of south east Asia, including India and Malaysia. They eat a wide variety of fish, mussels, crabs, crayfish etc. The females are pregnant for 63 to 65 days and give birth to up to five young in a burrow known as a 'Holt'.
